A classical musician by trade, Lisa Hartl describes herself as a trumpeter who (happily!) scurried down many rabbit holes after delving into the wonderful overlapping worlds of period instruments, early music, and traditional dance. She couldn’t help but feel pulled to the various fascinating ancient instruments and dance traditions left to us by history. A freelance musician in southern Ontario, Lisa enjoys a versatile performing and teaching career. She also composes, arranges, and likes to produce multimedia recordings of pieces of music which she discovers in her research - simple melodic tunes to large-scale works! Lisa can often be seen playing her restored German Fluegelhorn from 1900, of which she is especially proud.
